Prefab Modular Home System by Bamboo Living was co-founded by Jeffree Trudeau and LEED accredited architect David Sands, with the vision to “protect and restore our planet by pioneering with bamboo as a structural building material”. This Sheldon Avenue house is located on a long plot, relatively narrow in width, within the Heath Fringes Conservation Area in Highgate, London. The project was completed in 2003 by Belsize Architects. The structure of the house is contemporary in nature, yet respects its surrounding context by integrating existing forms.

This house grows out of the rocky landscape. The house creates outside covered spaces below where the first floor childrens rooms, when opened, become part of the garden. To increase the amount of outside spaces, this house has a covered balcony on the front and a roof terrace that captures the phenomenal views along the coast.
