The Alf Group of Italy made official a collection which also features a wall mounted storage drawers to increase the idea of a suspended bedroom. The Alf Group of Italy is one of my favorite up and coming European furniture makers, and I really have to say their new “Aladino Up” suspended platform bed is a step in the right direction. The collection also features wall mounted storage drawers to complete the illusion of a suspended bedroom set and nice touches like the upholstered grid patterned headboard, soft touch closing drawers, and orthopedic slats that cushion the platform frame for a comfortable nights sleep.
the EOOS team analyzed several hundreds of ground plans and found that sofas are typically positioned like walls inflexibly, immovably dividing a room. While the architectural design of housing has evolved, traditional lounge seating has remained unchanged. Living Landscape by EOOS detaches individual elements from the conventional “sofa wall”: all corner elements can be rotated through 90 degrees, allowing not only for entirely new perspectives, but also for the completely flexible use of space in response to the most varied situations.
After leaving Allied Works in 1999 the firm asked Corey to design and build the executive conference table for the new penthouse of the Wieden + Kennedy Headquarters in Portland. The table consists of 4 hand hewn planks of sold mahogany connected by custom fabricated steel ribs
The placement on the site provides each unit with a large private deck on opposite ends of the site, one with a large yard. This arrangement provides the most privacy while allowing for the main floor to feel like a large indoor / outdoor room with the deck as an extended living space.
