This house has a rammed earth wall that provides the house with a good thermal mass and also helps to control humidity.This house also contains two bedrooms, a guest room and a fully functional music playing and recording space. This house has a wonderful interior. This house is not yet completed. It will be completed during the late 2010. This is a wonderful house for a small nuclear family. This is a perfect place to live. The house provides you with a very beautiful visual treat.

Formerly, this mansion is a typical ‘mansion’ apartment on the outskirts of Tokyo before BAKOKO transformed it into their new clean and bright home. It is architects Alastair Townsend and Kayoko Ohtsuki, two graduates of London’s Architectural Association (the AA), and the founders of BAKOKO Design Company who had transformed this small 400 square feet mansion into a modern-minimalist flat with optimum use of the spaces. Long ago, ‘Man-shi-yon’ was a euphemism the Japanese used to describe the generic concrete apartment blocks. Now, the culture seems to be moving into more sustainable creativity with preferences for clean and modern living spaces.

This house located in Nagoya city has three functions: a flower shop, an art gallery and living quarters. Here, these three spaces which are normally separated,break the unseen barriers and integrate with each other. With flowers displayed in the gallery, they become art.
